Homeschool ASL Teacher
Hello, My name is Kimberly Frederick. I am so excited to work with Estrellas this year as the American Sign Language teacher!
All little about me:
I'm a homeschooling mom of 7, who is hard of hearing herself, living in West Michigan. Jesus is the most important part of my life, and my faith is woven into everything I do, including ASL! I attended college to study American Sign Language, where I developed a deep love for the language and Deaf culture. After finishing my studies, I chose to stay home to raise my children — a season I consider one of my greatest blessings.
Now, I feel incredibly blessed to be able to stay home while also teaching on my own schedule. I teach American Sign Language at several large homeschool co-ops in the area, working with all aged students. I have a true passion for ASL and strive to help my students not only learn but but have fun doing it.
My goal is to create a classroom environment that is joyful and encouraging — a place where students grow in skill, discipline, and faith. I can’t wait for a wonderful year!
