Latin Classes for Homeschoolers

2026-2027 School Year 

Beginning Latin
Grades 3-8 
*Mondays 9:45-10:45am
*Cost for the entire school year is $300 per student, plus a $25 materials/administrative fee.
*A minimum number of students is needed to fulfill this class.
*This class introduces students to Latin through engaging stories set in Ancient Rome. Students will interact with Latin through writing, speaking, and interactive games. By the end of the year, students will know several noun declensions, verb conjugations, and hundreds of Latin vocabulary.
*No prior experience with Latin is required; however, since Latin is a written language, students should be fluent English readers and writers.


Intermediate Latin
Grades 5-12
*Mondays 12:15-1:15pm
*Cost for the entire school year is $300 per student, plus a $25 materials/administrative fee.
*A minimum number of students is needed to fulfill this class.
*Students will expand their knowledge of Latin by translating stories about an ancient Roman family. This translation work, in addition to other speaking, writing, and interactive activities, will be the core of the class. Students should be comfortable with at least two declensions and conjugations and will utilize most all grammar forms by the end of the class.

Payment
*There is a non-refundable $25 materials/administrative fee per student per year.
*​Payment is required upon enrollment. You may pay in full or pay half now with the remainder due on/by December 1, 2026.
*For families participating in a homeschool partnership program, there is a payment option for that as well. You will need to pay the materials/administrative fee out-of-pocket to hold your family's spot(s). Estrellas Language Academy will then bill the partnership program for the course cost on your behalf. For the purpose of our Latin classes, we are partnered with Hamilton and Grand Haven.


2026-27 School Year Calendar
These Latin classes will follow mostly the same calendar as our Spanish Classes:
*First Day of Class: week of September 14, 2026
*Last Day of Class: week of April 26, 2027
*Thanksgiving Break: No classes the week of November 23.
*Christmas Break: December 14 - January 1
*Spring Break: April 5-9
